The Neotics
identity.

Everything here was made for Neotics: the renders come from one robotic hand modelled and path traced for this brand, the mark is drawn from the tendon that runs through it.

01 · Name

Neotics

Neo, new, and robotics: new robotics, the kind people teach. A robot learns a skill from someone who shows it how, one demonstration at a time, and the people keep their names on what they taught.

The mark is the N drawn as one tendon, the line that carries what a person shows into the robot’s hand. The token is $NEO, and the lab lives at neotics.io.

UnaUBTech sells a humanoid robot called Una
KataSwitchBot launched KATA Friends home robots in May 2026
HitoHito Robotic System holds the mark for industrial robots
SinewThe working name until November 2026; sinew.com, sinewlabs.com and the other good domains are taken
SinuThe Old English word for sinew, briefly the name in November 2026; sinu.ai is taken and several small meme coins use the ticker SINU

02 · Mark

One tendon, two pulleys, an N.

A single line wrapped around two unseen pulleys draws the N: up the stem, over the first pulley, down the diagonal, under the second and up again. The orange end is where the tendon is anchored. It works in ink on stone, in stone on night, and at 16 pixels.

03 · Colour

Stone, ink, one tendon.

Stone is the ground everywhere. Ink carries type. Tendon orange is the only accent and it always means the thread: the line through the page, the mark's anchor, a status that is moving. Night is for one section at a time; the footer burns down to ember.

Light in the corners

Each section carries one or two soft gels of colour in its corners, as if the studio lamps had filters on them. They breathe slowly and never sit behind small text.

05 · Materials

One hand, made of five materials.

Every image comes from one tendon-driven robotic hand, modelled in code and path traced in Blender Cycles on this machine. It is rendered with a transparent background so it sits on the page instead of in a box.

  • Speckled stonewareMatte glaze with iron flecks over the back of every finger
  • GraphiteAnodised links and joints
  • BrassAxles, eyelets, the wrist band
  • SiliconePads, with ridges moulded into the fingertips
  • Braided cordThe tendons, and the brand's one colour

Every part of the hand laid out in rows from above, with a coil of tendon and a hex key.

06 · Motion

Moves like a hand, not like a slide.

  • Scrubbed renders. The hand closes and comes apart under the reader's scroll, frame by frame, never on its own.
  • The thread. One orange line draws itself down the page through every section and ends at the button to join.
  • Words rise. Headings come up from behind a mask, word by word, on an expo out curve over about 1.2 seconds.
  • Demonstrations. Many faint lines converge on one grasp; one of them is orange.
  • Still when asked. With reduced motion on, every sequence and line shows its finished state.

07 · Buttons

Made of the hand's materials.

The main action is graphite: matte, with a soft sheen across the top and an ember that rises from the bottom edge under the pointer. The second action is stoneware: pale glaze with iron flecks. Both press in when clicked.

08 · Voice

Plain, warm, exact.

Short sentences. Say what is live and label the rest. Credit people by name. No flywheels, no liquidity, no exclamation marks.

09 · The lab

The same hand, at work.

The lab is where makers take on challenges, hand in signed work and get judged in the open. This is a clickable prototype with sample data: join, the home screen, challenges, a five-step entry, the leaderboard, spaces, Compute and a profile, on a desk and on a phone.
